IntesisBox INKNXDAI001R100 is an industrial gateway designed to integrate Daikin SKY Air and Daikin VRV air conditioning systems with KNX building automation. The device provides full bi-directional monitoring and control of AC operating parameters directly from KNX, enabling consistent HVAC control within scenes, schedules and BMS logic.
The interface is wired directly to an indoor unit, which ensures stable communication and fast response to KNX commands. It enables control of key HVAC functions such as operating mode, fan speed and temperature setpoint, while also exposing errors, alarms and selected internal variables for diagnostics. This makes it easier to supervise system condition and include service information in the building automation workflow.
A practical advantage in real installations is flexible temperature strategy: HVAC control can be based on the ambient temperature read by the AC unit or on the value provided by a KNX thermostat. In addition, the AC unit can be controlled simultaneously via its own remote controller and via KNX, which is important for occupant comfort while keeping central supervision in place.
