Industrial RS-485 to Ethernet converters - how to use them?
In this section of our shop you will find converters from the RS-485 to Ethernet standard. The RS-485 bus is very often used in industrial automation for serial communication, e.g. in controllers, computers, I/O modules, measuring instruments, counters, etc. The converters allow RS-485 devices to be integrated into an Ethernet network (e.g. with a computer, supervisory system or PLC) via LAN or WAN.

Each RS-485 to Ethernet converter in our range features easy DIN-rail mounting, resistance to electromagnetic interference and the ability to be installed in outdoor boxes and industrial environments with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The converters support standard Ethernet type connectors and RS-485 on a screw connector. The free virtual serial port software included with each unit simplifies and shortens the configuration process. Using the console or the built-in web server, the converters can be configured in one of the available modes: realCOM, TCP server, TCP client, UDP server or UDP client.
