Industrial DALI to Modbus (gateway)
In this section of our shop you will find converters from the DALI interface to Modbus TCP or RTU. DALI is the digital lighting control system most commonly used to manage lighting elements. Converters allow DALI devices such as a stage effects system or luminaires to be integrated into a Modbus TCP or RTU network (e.g. with a PLC or BMS, etc.).

Each DALI to Modbus gateway available from us offers easy DIN rail mounting, immunity to electromagnetic interference and the ability to be installed in environments with a wide temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. Our DALI to Modbus converters are industrial devices, suitable for diverse and harsh environmental conditions. The converters can be used in both outdoor boxes exposed to freezing temperatures and indoor control cabinets with significantly elevated temperatures.
The gateways are designed to support up to 64 DALI lamps on a single bus. The units support the DALI 2.0 protocol, and have an RS-485 port on a screw connector (for communication over Modbus RTU) and Ethernet on RJ45 (for communication over Modbus TCP). Depending on the project, the converters may or may not have an active DALI bus power supply (where an external DALI bus power supply is missing). Thanks to the free software included with each unit, the converters are very simple and quick to configure. The DALI Console tool allows you to easily scan the DALI bus and address the lamps and assign them the appropriate Modbus registers.
