Modbus RTU to PROFIBUS converters in industrial automation system integration
Industrial Modbus RTU to PROFIBUS converters
In this section of our shop you will find converters from Modbus RTU to PROFIBUS interface.
Modbus RTU is a popular communication protocol in industrial automation, developed by Modicon (Schneider Electric). It operates in master-slave mode on serial interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485) and uses a simple frame format with CRC checksum. It is reliable and widely used in control and monitoring systems for processes, air conditioning, heating, BMS and many others.
PROFIBUS (Process Field Bus) is a standard communication protocol in industrial automation developed by PNO. It enables fast and reliable data exchange between devices. It supports different media (RS-485, fibre optics), topologies (line, star), and modes (master-slave, multi-master). It is widely used in manufacturing, process automation and energy industries.
Converters allow Modbus RTU devices to be integrated into PROFIBUS networks (e.g. PLCs).

The Modbus RTU to PROFIBUS converters available in our range offer 8-19VAC battery power or a range of 8-35VDC, easy DIN rail mounting, immunity to electromagnetic interference and the ability to be installed in outdoor boxes and environments with a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C - perfect for factories and industrial spaces.
Our converters support RS-232, RS-485 (screw connectors for Modbus RTU communication, maximum 1200m bus), Ethernet (RJ45 connector for programming) and DB9 for communication over Profibus (wire A, wire B, GND, positive wire).
The converters feature support for the DP V0 protocol with a transmission rate of up to 12Mbps, while on the serial port side, support for ASCII, Simple Binary Protocol, Modbus and JBUS protocols. The converters can operate both in Modbus master - Profibus slave mode, where a Profibus master communicates with Modbus slaves, and in Modbus slave - Profibus master mode, where Modbus masters communicate with Profibus slaves. Thanks to the free software included with each device, the converters are very easy to configure.
