Industrial Profinet to Modbus TCP converters, control and communication
Industrial PROFINET to Modbus TCP converters
Profinet to Modbus TCP converters allow for device integration and data exchange between various PROFINET devices (e.g. PROFINET to Modbus TCP converters make it possible to integrate devices and exchange data between different PROFINET devices (e.g. Siemens S7 series controllers) and Modbus TCP networks and master and slave devices (e.g. with a PLC, SCADA system, HMI panel or counter).
The PROFINET communication protocol is used in industrial automation and factories for, among other things, real-time communication with controllers or PROFINET I/O modules due to its transmission speed, flexibility and excellent diagnostic capabilities. Modbus TCP, on the other hand, is characterised by high compatibility, simplicity of implementation and multi-device support, which also allows it to be used in most industrial applications.
Learn more about our PROFINET to Modbus TCP converters
Each PROFINET to Modbus TCP converter available in our range stands for high communication performance, fast data transfer, easy DIN rail mounting, resistance to electromagnetic interference and the possibility of installation in outdoor boxes and environments with a wide temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. This allows the devices to be installed both in outdoor boxes exposed to frost and in industrial control cabinets reaching very high temperatures.
Our PROFINET to Modbus TCP converters are versatile devices, with selected models operating as Modbus masters (communicating with slaves) or Modbus slaves (masters communicating with the converter), supporting standard Profinet and Ethernet type connectors in RJ45 and, depending on the version, powered in the industrial range 12-35VDC or battery-powered in the range 8-24VAC.
Thanks to the free software included with each device, the converters are very easy to configure, requiring no additional licences or software to be purchased. The only hardware limitation of the converters is their memory, which allows a configuration of 1440 bytes in writing and 1440 bytes in reading data (or up to 4096 bytes in the B76 version). During configuration, we have the option of automatically generating a GSDML file for import into the device or Profinet master software (e.g. TIA Portal).
