Modbus communication modules for Bosch air conditioners

The Modbus communication modules for Bosch air conditioners in the Commercial and VRF series make it possible to connect air conditioners to master systems such as BMS or SCADA and manage them using the Modbus communication protocol. Thanks to the communication modules, it is possible to diagnose faults faster, control temperatures, air conditioner power and other functions to save service time, energy and consumption of air conditioners.

The modules are compatible with, among others. models AF-4CE 56-1 P, C4W**-1D, CL5000iL 4C *** E, CL5000iM 4CC ** E, CL5000iU 4CC ** E, CL5000MS 07 CAS, MC4W**-1D, AF-DHE 56-1, AF-DME 56-1 P, CL5000iL D ** E, CL5000iM D ** E, CL5000iU D ** E, MS 18-2 DCT, SCI **-2 DCT, SLPD**-1D, AF-F 22-1, CL5000iL CF *** E, CL5000iU 4C 70 E, CL3000iU W ** E and CL5000 RAC IBW.

Communication module features and functions

Communication modules allow the simultaneous connection of 1 to 32 indoor or outdoor air conditioner units which allows the control of the operating mode, fan speed, temperature settings, but also the monitoring of errors, alarms and some internal variables such as. an operating hour counter to control filter maintenance. The modules operate as Modbus RTU slave (EIA485) and allow any master to read and write variables from the air conditioners.

The additional function of monitoring window openness allows significant savings in the energy consumption of the air conditioners. Configuration of the modules is very easy and is done by setting the DIP-switches accordingly, and the modules also allow simultaneous control of the air conditioner by infrared remote control and Modbus master. All units have wall or DIN rail (TH35) mounting.
