INBACDAL1280200 Intesis DALI/DALI-2 to BACnet gateway – lighting integration for BACnet BMS

INBACDAL1280200 is a DALI to BACnet IP Server gateway designed for the integration of any DALI/DALI-2 drivers and DALI-2 input devices with a BACnet BMS or any BACnet/IP or BACnet MS/TP controller. The purpose of the integration is to make DALI devices, their data and resources accessible from a BACnet-based control system as if they were a native part of the BACnet system.

The gateway supports both BACnet/IP client and MS/TP manager operation, which helps in projects where BACnet networks combine Ethernet segments and RS-485 MS/TP field buses. This provides a clean way to unify lighting control and monitoring within the same building automation layer.

Commissioning and integration are managed using Intesis MAPS. A commissioning-friendly workflow allows templates to be imported and reused as often as needed, significantly reducing commissioning time—especially in repetitive deployments or multi-area buildings.

In addition to DALI/DALI-2 drivers, the gateway supports DALI-2 input devices such as push buttons, absolute inputs, and occupancy/light sensors, enabling lighting feedback and sensor-driven logic to be transported into BACnet.

A key implementation benefit is the integrated DALI power supply, so no external DALI power supply is required. The gateway supports up to 64 drivers/ballasts plus 64 DALI-2 input devices (sensors/push buttons/absolute inputs). Up to 10,000 total signals can be defined, with a guaranteed output current of 230 mA.

BACnet advanced features such as calendars, trend logs, schedules and more are available, supporting full BMS-style supervision and reporting.
