HD67813 allows communication between KNX devices such as air conditioning, heating, lighting, security systems and Modbus RTU devices with RS485 such as controllers or HMI panels.

The product features a capacity of up to 1440 bytes for both reading and writing data. An important aspect is the triple isolation between the different parts of the device: KNX to the power supply, KNX to the serial port and power supply to the serial port, which increases safety and reliability of operation. The device enables bi-directional information exchange between KNX and Modbus, which is crucial for integrated building and industrial automation systems.

The converter is equipped with one KNX port and one RS-485 port, supporting the KNX TP and Modbus RS-485 slave protocols respectively. The data rate is 9600 bit/s for KNX and up to 115200 bit/s for Modbus. The KNX connector is a standard KNX Bus connector, while the Modbus connector is a 3-pin 5mm screw connector. Power supply for the device can be from 8 to 24 VAC or 12 to 35 VDC via a 2-pin 5mm screw connector.

The device is suitable for extreme conditions, with a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F), allowing it to be used in a variety of environments. The SW67813 software enables advanced configuration of the device designed for efficient data exchange between the KNX system and the Modbus. With this software, it is possible to specify Modbus and KNX line parameters, define messages and KNX frames, and determine which KNX bytes are to be written to the Modbus protocol and, conversely, which Modbus registers are to be written to the KNX protocol. The device also offers the possibility to update its software.
