HD67C30-B2 – industrial Ethernet / MQTT Broker converter, housing type B, DIN rail mounting, LAN Ethernet (RJ45), fixed screw terminal block connectors.

HD67C30-B2 is an industrial communication device that provides an embedded MQTT Broker for Ethernet-based data flows. It is designed for projects where you want to standardize publish/subscribe messaging on a plant LAN, manage topic structure, and control MQTT client access without adding extra broker hardware in the control cabinet.

In practice, HD67C30-B2 lets you define which Ethernet data are mapped to MQTT topics, publish selected values, and subscribe to topics to feed values back into the Ethernet side. The unit also supports forwarding topics via an internal bridge, which helps keep topic routing predictable in more complex MQTT structures.

The single Ethernet RJ45 port is used for device programming and for MQTT and Ethernet communication. The Ethernet connection should be made with at least a Category 5e cable (max 100 m), compliant with T568 norms for Cat.5 up to 100 Mbps. For connection to a Hub/Switch, a straight cable is recommended; for direct connection to a PC, a cross cable is recommended. The interface has one MAC Address for the MQTT side and one for the Ethernet side, improving traffic identification and diagnostics.

The device provides:
  • Electrical isolation between Ethernet and Power Supply
  • Data rates 10/100 Base-T Autosensing
  • Wide operating temperature range -40°C to +85°C
  • Wide power supply range: 8…24V AC / 12…35V DC
  • Consumption at 24V DC: 5 W
  • 35 mm DIN rail mounting and compact housing type B
These characteristics make it suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Configuration:

Model HD67C30-B2 is configured using dedicated software SW67C30. With it you can:
  • Define the parameter of MQTT
  • Define the parameter of Ethernet line
  • Define the list of allowed MQTT Clients
  • Define the list of MQTT topic published and subscribed from/to Ethernet
  • Define the list of topics to be forwarded via the internal bridge
  • Update the device

A strong engineering feature is the Template String mechanism for MQTT payload definition:
  • Mode 1: map a single variable per topic using tables and the $VALUE$ keyword
  • Mode 2: compose payloads with multiple variables using format keywords (for example @i0.16@, @f32.32@), ideal for JSON-like messages
This lets you keep MQTT payloads consistent across different integration layers.

Product features:

  • 1x Ethernet RJ45 (programming, MQTT and Ethernet)
  • Embedded MQTT Broker
  • Data rates: 10/100 Base-T Autosensing
  • 4 status LEDs: Device State (green), Ethernet comm. (yellow), MQTT Broker comm. (yellow), Error State (yellow)
  • Recovery via hardware button BTN1; default IP 192.168.2.206 via webserver in Recovery Mode
  • Device discovery supported with the ADFweb Discovery Tool
