The IN790NIB100A000 industrial gateway from Intesis is designed as a universal communication interface for the integration of NIBE ground-source and air-source heat pumps with building automation systems based on KNX and BACnet. It is a single, unified hardware platform that can operate – depending on configuration – as a KNX TP, BACnet/IP, or BACnet MS/TP gateway.

The IN790NIB100A000 supports up to five NIBE units and provides access to up to 100 communication data points, including operating parameters, system states, alarms, and process variables. This enables full integration of NIBE heat pump systems with BMS platforms, visualisation tools, and energy monitoring and optimisation systems.

Depending on project requirements, the gateway can be used as:

• a NIBE to KNX TP gateway for KNX-based building automation systems,
• a NIBE to BACnet/IP gateway for Ethernet-based BMS networks,
• a NIBE to BACnet MS/TP gateway for RS-485 BACnet installations.

Heat pump data is mapped to KNX or BACnet objects, ensuring a clear, standardised data structure and seamless interoperability with supervisory systems.

Configuration is performed using the Intesis MAPS configuration tool, which allows fast data point mapping and project-specific customisation. A dedicated USB Mini-B console port, USB storage support, and a factory reset push button simplify commissioning, maintenance, and service.

The IN790NIB100A000 is suitable for DIN rail mounting (bracket included) or wall mounting. Power is supplied via 9–36 V DC or 24 V AC, with 24 V DC recommended. The power supply unit is not included, allowing easy integration into existing power infrastructures.
