The INKNXHIT064O000 gateway delivers seamless, bidirectional communication between Hitachi VRF air-conditioning systems and KNX TP installations. Acting as a native KNX node, it exposes up to 64 indoor units as standard KNX datapoints, so integrators can adjust set-point temperature, operation mode, fan speed and on/off status directly from a touch panel or BMS without proprietary software. At the same time it sends diagnostic data and alarm codes from the outdoor units back to KNX, enabling predictive maintenance and rapid fault isolation in large commercial buildings.

Commissioning is streamlined by the Intesis MAPS platform. An auto-scan routine discovers every indoor unit on the Hitachi H-Link bus, generates a point list and lets you drag-and-drop datapoints to KNX group addresses. The tool also provides live traffic capture, health dashboards and template export, so engineers can replicate configurations across multiple sites in minutes. Firmware upgrades and parameter tweaks are performed over Ethernet, while DIP-switches allow quick address setting and service-mode resets on-site without a laptop.

Housed in a flame-retardant UL 94 V-0 enclosure, the gateway mounts on a DIN rail EN 60715 TH35 or directly on the wall. Dual-range power input (9 – 36 V DC / 24 V AC) and IP20 protection make it ideal for electrical cabinets. Front-panel LEDs show power, KNX bus status, Ethernet link and H-Link traffic, allowing quick visual diagnostics.
