The INKNXMID016I000 interface has been specially developed by Intesis to enable seamless bidirectional communication between Midea VRF air conditioning systems and KNX-based building automation systems. This compact and efficient gateway allows centralized control of up to 16 indoor units, making it ideal for smart buildings, offices, and energy-efficient facilities.

By connecting directly to the communication bus of the Midea outdoor unit, the interface provides low-latency, real-time data exchange between the AC units and KNX network. Users can monitor and control all key AC functions, including power ON/OFF, mode, temperature setpoint, fan speed, and error states. Additionally, the interface grants access to selected internal variables of the outdoor units, which supports advanced diagnostics and predictive maintenance strategies.

Configuration is done using Intesis MAPS – a powerful and user-friendly software tool that simplifies commissioning. MAPS enables auto-discovery of indoor units and provides a clear overview of the system. It also supports firmware updates and real-time monitoring of communication status, which reduces deployment time and ensures long-term stability.
