The INMBSMID008I000 Modbus gateway from Intesis has been engineered to enable seamless and bidirectional integration between Midea VRF and commercial air conditioning systems and Modbus RTU-based BMS or PLC networks. It supports up to 8 indoor units per device and allows full control and monitoring of essential HVAC functions.

The gateway connects directly to the outdoor unit’s XYE communication bus, enabling interaction with all connected indoor units. Not only does it support basic AC functions such as power on/off, mode, fan speed, and temperature, but also gives access to specific internal parameters and operational variables from the outdoor units, offering more insight and flexibility in control.

Configuration is performed using Intesis MAPS, a powerful and intuitive setup tool for all new-generation Intesis devices. MAPS allows you to define Modbus data points, customize functionality, and apply device templates. The integrated auto-discovery scan function drastically reduces setup time by detecting all available indoor units automatically. In addition, built-in diagnostic tools simplify troubleshooting and enhance commissioning.
