MR004W – industrial M-Bus master with LCD display for up to 60 meters.

MR004W is an industrial M-Bus master designed for remote powering and reading of up to 60 M-Bus devices, such as water, heat, electricity and gas meters. As a member of the W60 Master Family, it enables stand-alone operation without a PC thanks to the integrated LCD display and keypad.

Local data read-out without a computer

MR004W allows on-site meter data read-out directly at the installation. During commissioning, all meters compliant with the M-Bus protocol (EN 1434-3) are automatically detected and stored in the internal memory. Consumption values of all meters can be displayed sequentially on the LCD using the keypad, without the need for additional software or external devices.

Communication interfaces and system integration

In addition to autonomous operation, MR004W provides RS232 and RS485 interfaces for connection to a PC, BMS, SCADA system or external modem. This allows the device to act as a central read-out point in both local and distributed M-Bus installations, offering flexibility in system design.

Reliability and operational safety

The MR004W is permanently short-circuit resistant on the M-Bus line and features automatic overcurrent protection. Operating status is indicated by LED indicators showing power supply, maximum M-Bus load and short-circuit conditions. The device is designed for continuous operation in industrial and technical environments.

Mounting and power supply

MR004W features an integrated 230 VAC power supply (110 VAC version available) and is intended for wall mounting. The housing with IP52 protection makes the device suitable for installation in metering cabinets and technical rooms.
