MR006FA – M-Bus remote display for 20 meters with keypad, 2×16 LCD and RS232C interface.

MR006FA is an independent M-Bus remote display (M-Bus Display) with an integrated keypad and backlit 2×16 LCD, designed for central readout of up to 20 M-Bus devices (20 unit loads). In addition to comfortable on-site operation, the unit works as a RS232C ↔ M-Bus level converter, which makes it a compact master for small-to-mid M-Bus networks where fast local access and straightforward serial integration are required. 

Local readout with keypad + LCD (no laptop needed)

MR006FA allows reading meters using the keyboard and viewing the most important consumption values directly on the LCD. This helps service staff collect data from one central point without entering all rooms/flats and without additional equipment. The device also supports creating and managing a list of slaves (including automatic search and manual add/remove), which speeds up commissioning and routine readouts. 

RS232C connectivity: PC / MODEM ports (DB9)

MR006FA provides RS232C access to the M-Bus via two DB9 connectors: one for PC and one for MODEM. Only one connector can be used simultaneously. In inactive state, RS232C signals are connected to the M-Bus, so external controllers (PC, BMS, readout software) can use the unit as a transparent level converter for the physical M-Bus layer. 

M-Bus performance: 20 unit loads, 300–9600 baud, protection

MR006FA supports 300..9600 baud and includes echo suppression for stable serial communication. The M-Bus side is protected by short-circuit protection and overcurrent protection (typical interruption threshold around 60 mA). The device provides three pairs of M+/M- terminals, and M-Bus wiring is polarity-independent. 

DIN rail mounting and flexible power supply

MR006FA is mountable on DIN rail and powered from an external, flexible power supply: 10..28 VDC or 13..28 VAC. The housing is rated IP20, with compact dimensions 105 × 94 × 58 mm, designed for control cabinets and meter rooms.
