Industrial Modbus RTU to SNMP agent converter, housing type A (slim), DIN rail mount.

HD67165 allows you to connect a Modbus Master net (for example a PLC, SCADA System, etc) with a SNMP Manager net (for example a PC, Supervisory System, etc) in order to exchange the informations between the networks. Converter is easy to configure thanks to free SW67165 software. This model is particularly suitable for applications where space is limited and a compact form factor is essential, such as dense control cabinets or wall-mounted enclosures.

Configuration:

Thanks to the SW67165 software on your PC you can:

  • Define the parameters of SNMP line
  • Define the parameters of Modbus line
  • Update the device

The SW67165 software includes a graphical environment where you can assign Modbus addresses, set SNMP traps and alarms, and configure polling intervals. The configuration file can be saved and reused for batch programming multiple units. The RS-422 serial interface offers enhanced reliability over long cable distances, ideal for industrial installations. The intuitive process reduces deployment time and ensures consistent performance across installations.

Characteristics:

  • Up to 1024 bytes in reading and 1024 bytes in writing
  • 35mm DIN rail mount
  • Triple isolation between Serial - Power Supply, Serial - Ethernet, Power Supply - Ethernet
  • Bi-directional information exchange between the Modbus and SNMP buses

This converter is ideal for SNMP-based supervisory systems that need to gather operational data from Modbus RTU slave devices. Typical applications include building management systems (BMS), energy monitoring solutions, and SCADA platforms. The triple isolation provides safety and signal integrity even in environments with ground loop or voltage mismatch risks. The compact A-type housing ensures easy installation next to other slim modules or PLC I/O cards.
