The HD674-A006-4-E4V converter is an advanced industrial-grade solution for integrating PROFINET networks with Modbus RTU Master devices via RS485. Designed for extreme environments, the device features a rugged metal housing that resists mechanical stress, shock, and vibration. Its internal microcontroller ensures precise and uninterrupted communication even under unstable power or EMI conditions.

Equipped with triple 4kV galvanic isolation between PROFINET, Modbus, and power supply, the converter is protected against transient overvoltages, ground loops, and electrical noise. This makes it ideal for high-reliability applications in automation systems, energy, railways, transport, and marine environments. It supports Modbus RTU communication via RS485 and PROFINET autosensing 10/100 Mbps.

Two variants are available: Version V with IP65 protection (PCB coating) for dust and dirt environments, and Version R with IP67 encapsulated resin for full waterproofing and EMC resistance. The wide operating range from -40°C to +105°C meets requirements for automotive, military, and outdoor deployments. The unit can be mounted in multiple orientations on flat surfaces using four mounting lugs or metal hose clamps.

Configuration:

With the SW674-A006 software installed on your PC, you can:

• Define the parameters of the Modbus RTU line (RS485)
• Set the PROFINET configuration (address, length, direction)
• Map which PROFINET byte is sent or received via Modbus and vice versa
• Update the device firmware easily via USB or Ethernet
