HD67090-B2-868MHz-0 is a robust M-Bus Wireless → PROFINET gateway designed for smart metering and industrial automation. It bridges up to 32 wireless M-Bus slaves (e.g., heat, water, gas, electricity meters and environmental sensors) with PROFINET controllers such as Siemens PLCs and SCADA systems. This enables centralized supervision, energy monitoring and building management without pulling additional wiring to every meter.

Operating in the 868 MHz band, the converter is tailored to European deployments, offering reliable coverage and building penetration for dense installations. The SMA female antenna interface lets you select antennas appropriate to the site (e.g., magnetic-base or panel-mount) and place them for optimal signal quality. On the Ethernet side, the RJ45 port with 10/100 Base-T autosensing integrates seamlessly with industrial switches and PLC network segments.

The wide type-B housing with DIN-rail mounting simplifies panel layout and cabling. Industrial-grade design supports an extended ambient range of −40°C…+85°C, making the unit suitable for heated technical rooms as well as outdoor enclosures subject to frost or summer peaks. Power the device with 18…35 VDC or 15…21 VAC; allow for a short 30 W inrush at startup when sizing power supplies and UPS lines.

Commissioning is streamlined by the dedicated SCAN&DECODE functionality: the software automatically scans the wireless M-Bus network and decodes registers present in telegrams, so you don’t need vendor-specific frame documentation. In practice this means rapid deployment, minimal mapping effort and fewer configuration errors—especially valuable when integrating dozens of meters into a single PROFINET controller.

Typical use cases include sub-metering in commercial buildings, district heating networks, utility metering, and industrial energy dashboards. By collecting readings over wireless M-Bus and publishing them to PROFINET, you can trend consumption, generate alarms, and drive optimization logic directly in the PLC or SCADA—without replacing existing metering infrastructure.

HD67090-B2-868MHz-0 allow to monitor some MBus Wireless meters (like Engelmann, Amber-Wireless, Maddalena, Siemens, etc.) with a PROFINET net (like a Siemens PLC, etc). Converter is easy to install and configure thanks to free software SW67090.
