Industrial BACNet MSTP master to PROFIBUS slave converter, PROFIBUS DP DPV0 support, housing type A (slim), DIN rail mount. 

The HD67716-MSTP-A1 is an industrial protocol converter that enables seamless communication between a BACnet MS/TP master and a PROFIBUS DPV0 master, such as a Siemens PLC. This device is ideal for installations where BACnet-based systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, energy management) need to report data directly to a PROFIBUS controller. The converter functions as a PROFIBUS slave, while acting as a BACnet master on the other side, enabling it to collect data from multiple BACnet slave devices and pass it to the PROFIBUS network.

It supports up to 512 BACnet objects for reading and 512 for writing, giving a total of 1024 mapped data points for high-volume applications. These objects allow flexible configuration and accurate data translation between both networks. With triple galvanic isolation between the power supply, PROFIBUS, and BACnet sides, the HD67716 ensures stable performance and electrical safety, even in high-interference environments. Its slim Type A enclosure (23 mm) is perfect for use in dense control panels.

The converter supports data rates up to 12 Mbps on the PROFIBUS side and up to 115200 bps for BACnet. It operates in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Configuration is performed using the free SW67716 software via the dedicated Ethernet port. This converter is a practical solution for integrators working on projects where devices from different protocol families must be efficiently connected without rewriting existing PLC logic.

Thanks to the SW67716 software on your PC you can:

  • Define the parameters of the BACnet line
  • Define the parameters of the PROFIBUS line
  • Define the BACnet data that the converter reads/writes
  • Update the device via Ethernet port
