The HD67417-E4R converter offers a robust and secure solution for industrial applications requiring communication between CAN-based equipment and PROFIBUS DP networks. Designed with a metallic, shock-resistant housing, the device withstands harsh environments including vibration, temperature extremes, humidity and electromagnetic interference. Thanks to its triple 4kV galvanic isolation, it guarantees data integrity and system protection across power supply and fieldbus layers.

Ideal for deployment in automotive, railway, marine and heavy industrial sectors, the converter features an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. It supports the PROFIBUS DPV0 protocol and CANopen specifications, ensuring compatibility with standard controllers and automation systems. A flexible mounting system enables installation on horizontal, vertical or oblique surfaces with four integrated fixing lugs or optional metal clamps.

The unit is available in two IP-rated versions: one with a PCB coating (suffix V) offering IP65 protection and another with resin encapsulation (suffix R) providing full IP67 sealing, making it suitable for outdoor and high-moisture installations. It also provides connector flexibility, supporting either Mini-Fit® or SuperSeal 1.5 interfaces depending on user requirements.

Thanks to the intuitive SW67417 configuration software, users can easily:
  • Define CANopen parameters, including baud rate and node ID
  • Set PROFIBUS DP settings such as address and communication speed
  • Manage PDOs (RPDO, TPDO) and SDO Client/Server roles
  • Configure Node Guarding mechanisms
  • Create a custom GSD file for easy integration into PROFIBUS PLCs
  • Transmit and monitor CANopen frames in real time
  • Update firmware via USB using SW67417
