The HD67421-E7V is an advanced industrial gateway that converts CANopen protocol into Modbus RTU Master, ensuring seamless interoperability between automation systems. The device is housed in a rugged metal enclosure resistant to vibration and shock, designed for reliable operation in automotive, railway, marine, and heavy industry environments. Its triple galvanic isolation of 4000V between CANopen, RS485 and power supply prevents ground loops and ensures stable communication even under severe electromagnetic noise conditions.

This version is equipped with SuperSeal 1.5® connectors and a varnished PCB, providing IP65 protection against dust and standard industrial conditions, making it a secure and durable solution for mission-critical installations.

Two hardware versions are available: the V version (HD67421-E7V) with IP65 varnished PCB protection, and the R version (HD67421-E7R) with full resin encapsulation offering IP67 protection, enhanced insulation, and resistance to moisture and EMC disturbances. These options allow engineers to select the appropriate version based on environmental and application requirements, whether for indoor industrial cabinets or outdoor vehicle/marine systems.

The converter can be mounted on any type of surface (horizontal, vertical, or oblique) thanks to its robust fixing lugs, or alternatively secured with hose clamps when lugs are not used. The -40°C to +105°C operating range guarantees full compliance with demanding AUTOMOTIVE standards, enabling deployment in trucks, buses, locomotives, ships, or industrial plants exposed to wide temperature variations.

Thanks to the free SW67421 software on your PC you can:

• Define the CANopen frames that are read from Modbus
• Define the CANopen frames that are written to Modbus
• Update and manage the device firmware

The intuitive configuration tool simplifies mapping between CANopen objects and Modbus registers, reducing commissioning time and ensuring flexible adaptation in both new and existing systems.
