The HD67C05-5-G43-B2 is an industrial-grade converter combining Modbus RTU in Slave mode with a fully integrated MQTT Broker, enabling seamless data exchange between RS485 automation systems and cloud or IoT platforms. The G43 version adds LTE connectivity with SIM, providing communication redundancy or allowing deployment in remote locations without wired Ethernet access.

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the converter supports a wide 8…24V AC / 12…35V DC power input range, offers electrical isolation between Ethernet and the power section, and operates from -40°C to +85°C. Its compact type-B DIN rail housing ensures easy installation in control cabinets and distributed field locations.

How the Converter Works

In Modbus Slave mode, the device exposes data received through MQTT topics directly as Modbus registers, allowing PLCs, SCADA and BMS systems to access IoT- or cloud-originating information through RS485. The converter can also publish Modbus data to MQTT topics in JSON or RAW format, either cyclically, on change, or on demand.

Using the SW67C05 software, users can configure topic structures, client permissions, QoS, data formats and MQTT Bridges. The HD67C05-5-G43-B2 can act as a central data hub connecting multiple MQTT clients and Modbus networks.
