HD67842-B2 allows you to connect some Modbus RTU Slaves with a DALI net (a light system etc.). Converter is easy to configure thanks to free SW67842 software.

This gateway is specifically designed to provide seamless integration between DALI lighting networks and Modbus RTU devices. In modern building automation and industrial facilities, DALI is one of the most popular standards for lighting control, enabling digital management of dimming, switching, grouping and status monitoring of fixtures. By using HD67842-B2, integrators can bring DALI-controlled luminaires into Modbus-based supervisory systems such as PLC, SCADA or BMS. This ensures centralized management of both lighting and other building subsystems under a single Modbus RTU master controller.

The converter supports bidirectional communication, allowing not only the control of DALI devices from the Modbus side, but also the collection of status information (lamp failures, ballast conditions, energy consumption). Thanks to its wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, robust DIN rail mounting and reliable galvanic isolation, it is suitable for installation in harsh industrial environments as well as commercial buildings. The housing type B (wide) provides mechanical strength and better spacing for wiring, reducing installation complexity in densely packed cabinets.
