The SDM-16O-PNP is an innovative device that provides a simple and inexpensive extension of the output lines of popular PLCs.

The module communicates with all commercially available PLCs, devices that support the popular MODBUS MASTER protocol.

The device has 16 digital outputs in PNP logic. Outputs are isolated from logic using optocouplers. Each channel can be individually configured.

The SDM-16O-PNP is connected to the RS485 bus via two wires. Communication is made using the MODBUS RTU or MODBUS ASCII protocol. The use of a 32-bit ARM core processor provides fast data processing and fast communication. The transmission speed is configurable from 2400 to 115200.

The module is designed for mounting on DIN rail according to DIN EN 5002.

The module is equipped with a set of LEDs (indicators) used to indicate the status of outputs, module power and transmission, useful for diagnostic purposes and for helping to find errors.

Configuration of the module is done via USB with a dedicated computer program. It is also possible to change parameters using the MODBUS protocol.
