IN770AIRXXSO000 – Intesis multi-brand AC SMALL gateway for VRF systems (Samsung, Daikin, Hitachi, York, Hisense, LG, Toshiba, Midea) with KNX, Modbus and BACnet. 

IN770AIRXXSO000 is an industrial communication gateway from the Intesis 700 Air Gateway line, version multi-brand AC SMALL. It is designed for integration of VRF indoor and outdoor units from multiple leading HVAC manufacturers with KNX, Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet/IP or BACnet MS/TP systems. The gateway supports brands such as Samsung, Daikin, Hisense, Hitachi, York, LG, Toshiba, Midea, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic and others, offering a unified interface between HVAC systems and building automation platforms. In the SMALL version, the gateway supports up to 4 indoor units, making it ideal for small commercial facilities, hotel rooms, apartments, office zones and compact VRF installations.

A key functional aspect of this device is that it works as a Central Controller on the native AC communication bus. Since VRF communication lines allow only one Central Controller to be present, the IN770AIRXXSO000 must operate as the sole controller. If the installation requires parallel operation with another Central Controller, an XYE Extension Kit is required to ensure compatibility and prevent bus conflicts.

The gateway automatically adapts communication functions depending on the connected AC brand. Brand-specific limits apply, including the number of supported indoor units, outdoor units, and communication terminals. This flexibility makes the bridge a universal and scalable integration tool for BMS, SCADA and PLC systems.

This gateway supports bidirectional communication between VRF units and BMS platforms. It exposes all key parameters such as operation mode, fan speed, setpoint temperature, room temperature, alarms, louver position and status values. Integration via KNX, BACnet or Modbus enables unified HVAC control across building management or smart home ecosystems.

The IN770AIRXXSO000 gateway is equipped with Ethernet 10/100 Mbps, EIA-485, KNX TP and USB-C ports. It includes three binary inputs for external dry-contact integration such as window sensors, card-holder switches or alarm triggers. The device is configured using Intesis MAPS, featuring auto-discovery, point mapping, diagnostics and the Late Configuration feature, allowing protocol changes even after installation.

The gateway includes 14 LED indicators for diagnostics and two DIP-switch blocks for RS-485 termination and bus polarization. It provides 1000 VDC galvanic isolation between communication ports, ensuring stability and electrical protection. The housing measures 90 × 106 × 58 mm, made of PC UL94 V-0, suitable for DIN rail EN60715 TH35 or wall mounting.
