A version called MR005 IR is also available, equipped with an optical interface compliant with ZVEI. This option increases the convenience of field readout, as it enables communication via an optical head or handheld terminal without maintaining a permanent wired connection to a computer. It is a practical solution for service work, commissioning and periodic local readouts.

Operational safety and resistance to bus short circuits

MR005 was designed as a simple but reliable master for everyday operation in small M-Bus networks. The device provides protection against overload and bus short circuit, which improves installation safety and reduces the risk of downtime caused by wiring errors or issues on connected devices.

Current operating status is indicated by LEDs showing power, data transmission and short-circuit condition. In practice, this makes diagnostics much easier and speeds up service work, because it allows the user to quickly determine whether the issue concerns communication, power supply or the bus itself.

DIN rail or wall mounting and flexible power supply

MR005 is designed for DIN rail TS35 mounting or wall mounting, which gives strong flexibility when designing a small metering point. Thanks to its compact housing, the device can be easily installed in technical cabinets, small distribution boards, test stations and local metering points.
