MR006 – compact M-Bus master for up to 20 meters.

MR006 is a compact M-Bus master (level converter) designed for remote powering and reading of up to 20 M-Bus devices, such as water meters, heat meters, electricity meters, gas meters, pulse counters and analog or digital input modules. The device belongs to the Master-PW series and is intended as a cost-effective solution for small and medium-sized M-Bus installations.

Applications in M-Bus networks up to 20 devices

MR006 is used in remote meter reading and energy monitoring systems in residential buildings, commercial facilities and technical installations. It enables centralized data acquisition from multiple meters and seamless integration with energy management, billing and building automation systems. Thanks to its compact design, the device is well suited for installation in control cabinets and distribution boards.

Communication interfaces

As standard, MR006 is equipped with an RS232 interface for communication with a PC or supervisory system. An optional version, MR006 IR, is available with a ZVEI-compliant optical interface, enabling convenient on-site read-out using a handheld device or optical head without the need for a permanently connected computer.

Reliability and operational safety

The device is permanently short-circuit resistant on the M-Bus line and features overcurrent protection. Operating status is indicated by LED indicators, showing power supply, data transmission and fault or overload conditions, simplifying diagnostics and maintenance of the installation.

Mounting and power supply

MR006 is designed for DIN rail mounting (TS35) and can also be wall-mounted. The device supports a wide AC and DC power supply range, allowing the use of existing power supplies in control cabinets. The ABS enclosure provides IP20 protection.
