IES6300PN-8GT2HS-2LV is a 10-port managed industrial Ethernet PROFINET Layer 2 switch, designed for demanding industrial automation environments. The device supports PROFINET RT communication, Conformance Class CC-B, ensuring deterministic data exchange, fast diagnostics and high network reliability in PLC-based systems.

The switch is equipped with 8× Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports (10/100/1000Base-T(X)) and 2× SFP slots supporting Gigabit / 2.5G, which can also be configured as copper ports. This flexible port combination allows seamless integration of copper and fiber links within a single industrial network infrastructure.

IES6300PN-8GT2HS-2LV supports PROFINET MRP redundancy with a recovery time of ≤200 ms, as well as advanced redundancy mechanisms including Ring, STP, RSTP and MSTP. Its proprietary ring technology enables topologies such as single ring, coupling ring, chain and dual-homing, with automatic network recovery times of <20 ms in ring mode.

The switch provides comprehensive Layer 2 management features, including IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, QoS, LLDP, RMON, port mirroring, IGMP Snooping and LACP link aggregation. Network configuration and monitoring can be performed via Web GUI, SSH, Telnet and SNMP, as well as directly from STEP 7 / TIA Portal using the PROFINET GSD file.

For high availability, the device features dual redundant 12–48 VDC power inputs with reverse polarity protection and a relay alarm output that reports power failures, port errors, temperature alarms and network events. The fanless design, low power consumption and wide operating temperature range of −40…75°C ensure stable, maintenance-free operation in harsh industrial conditions.

The rugged aluminum housing with IP40 protection supports DIN-rail or wall mounting. The switch complies with stringent EMC standards (IEC 61000-4-2 / 4-4 / 4-5), making it suitable for electrically noisy industrial environments.
