CAN bus to multi-mode fiber converter (SC/ST), transmission distance up to 2 km, 5VDC power supply.
MC201-F allows you to extend CAN bus communication at distances up to 20 km depending on the type of optical fiber. The converter has an external 5VDC power supply and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 75°C which in combination with a metal housing allows it to be used in industrial conditions.
The converter will find its application in installations where the CAN transmission is exposed to electromagnetic interference, so the best solution is to change the transmission medium to optical fiber. The device provides a transparent transmission, it is best to use it in pairs between two CAN devices. MC201 has an insulated CAN bus interface (2000VAC), a metal housing IP40 and a wide range of operating temperatures.
