RelAir-R2M-HOME is a professional Wireless M-Bus to M-Bus gateway designed to integrate radio-based meters compliant with the OMS standard into existing M-Bus installations. The device enables the connection of up to 63 Wireless M-Bus meters and makes their data available on a standard wired M-Bus as simulated M-Bus slave devices.

Operating principle

RelAir-R2M-HOME receives telegrams from Wireless M-Bus meters and stores the latest valid data. When queried by an M-Bus master, the gateway responds by forwarding the stored telegram as an M-Bus response. This approach allows radio meters to appear in the system as conventional wired M-Bus devices.

Configuration and management

Gateway configuration is performed using the free RelAirConf software for Windows. The software allows convenient management of whitelists, encryption keys, reception modes (S, T, C), and radio diagnostics such as RSSI and time since last telegram. Configuration can be carried out either via USB or directly through the M-Bus interface.

Power supply and enclosure

RelAir-R2M-HOME does not require an external power supply. It can be powered directly from the M-Bus line or via the USB interface (max. 90 mA). The device is supplied in a white wall-mounted enclosure with an integrated internal antenna, suitable for neat and unobtrusive installation in residential and commercial environments.
