RelAirR2M-PRO is an industrial-grade Wireless M-Bus to wired M-Bus gateway designed to integrate radio-based meters compliant with the OMS standard into professional M-Bus installations. The device enables the connection of up to 63 Wireless M-Bus meters and provides their data to an M-Bus master as simulated wired M-Bus slave devices.

Operating principle

RelAirR2M-PRO continuously receives telegrams from registered Wireless M-Bus meters and stores the most recent valid data. When requested by an M-Bus master, the gateway responds with the stored telegram converted into an M-Bus-compliant response. This allows wireless meters to be accessed in the same way as conventional wired M-Bus devices.

Configuration and management

Configuration of RelAirR2M-PRO is performed using the free RelAirConf software. The tool enables management of whitelists, encryption keys, reception modes and diagnostic information such as RSSI and telegram age. Configuration can be carried out either via USB or directly through the M-Bus interface.

Power supply and enclosure

RelAirR2M-PRO does not require an external power supply. It can be powered directly from the M-Bus line or via the USB interface (max. 90 mA). The device is housed in a robust industrial distribution box suitable for wall mounting, providing enhanced mechanical protection and environmental resistance compared to residential variants.

Applications

RelAirR2M-PRO is intended for use in industrial buildings, technical rooms and utility installations where reliable collection of data from Wireless M-Bus meters is required.
