The goal of this integration is remote monitoring and control of Daikin Air Conditioning from any commercial SCADA platform or monitoring software that can communicate using simple ASCII messages over a TCP/IP network. This approach makes it practical to connect AC units to home automation controllers, smart hubs, or custom IP applications without relying on closed, vendor-specific ecosystems.

The IntesisBox INWMPDAI001I000 exposes the Daikin air conditioning unit through independent control and status points and connects to the TCP/IP network via its Wi-Fi interface. Controllers can be operated using simple ASCII messages, allowing fast driver implementation for a wide range of home automation platforms and integrator-grade smart hubs. Since communication is IP-based, the solution does not require any cabling between the air conditioner and the home controller.
The gateway is wired directly to the indoor unit and is powered from the AC system itself.
