173-M28 – industrial 17.3″ monitor for panel installation with IP65 front protection and HDMI/VGA/DP interfaces. 

The 173-M28 is a 17.3-inch industrial monitor engineered for panel installation in demanding automation, machine-control and HMI environments. Its aluminum alloy enclosure with an ultra-thin 3 mm bezel, fully enclosed fanless structure and industrial-grade PCB ensures excellent durability in harsh working conditions. The device is resistant to vibration, dust, oil contamination and EMI, making it suitable for continuous 24/7 operation.

17.3″ Full HD display – 1920×1080, 400 cd/m² brightness and wide 80/80/60/80° viewing angles

The monitor features a 17.3″ TFT LCD panel with a 1920×1080 (Full HD) resolution, 400 cd/m² brightness and 600:1 contrast ratio. Wide viewing angles of 80/80/60/80° (L/R/U/D) ensure comfortable operation and high readability from different positions, which is essential in industrial and HMI workstation environments.

The 173-M28 provides all essential industrial connectivity: HDMI, DisplayPort (DP), VGA, Audio I/O, and an RJ45 (USB-defined) interface used for the touchscreen version (cable included). Power is supplied through a Phoenix 2-pin terminal, accompanied by a dedicated GND grounding point.

Power supply and environmental performance

The device supports a wide 12–36 V DC input range and is supplied with a 24 V / 1.5 A power adapter. Operating temperature ranges from -10°C to +60°C, with an optional extended temperature range of -20°C…+70°C. The monitor is capable of stable operation in up to 95% non-condensing humidity, making it suitable for harsh industrial applications.

Touchscreen versions and mounting options – 173-M28 series

The 173-M28 series is available in three variants: 173-M2800 (non-touch), 173-M2810 (10-point projected capacitive PCAP), 173-M2820 (resistive single-touch). Light transmittance values are: ≥92% (non-touch), ≥88% (PCAP), ≥78% (resistive).

The external dimensions of the monitor are W458 × H291 × D52 mm, with a required panel cutout size of W440.6 × H273.6 mm. Supported mounting methods include panel installation, recessed wall mounting, wall-mounting, desktop mounting, folding-arm systems, VESA mounting and overhead mounting structures.
