The IntesisBox ME-AC-MBS-1 provides full, bi-directional monitoring and control of Mitsubishi Electric Domestic and Mr.Slim Air Conditioners over a Modbus RTU (RS-485) network.

INMBSMIT001I000 is designed for projects where air conditioning must be integrated into a PLC, BMS, SCADA, or any Modbus-based automation layer. Instead of relying on proprietary control logic or fragmented IR-only operation, the gateway exposes AC functions and statuses through Modbus RTU registers, enabling consistent mapping, predictable behavior, and faster commissioning across multi-zone installations.

Because the gateway is wired directly to the indoor unit, it can handle both control commands and feedback signals in real time. This covers everyday HVAC operation (mode selection, fan speed, and temperature setpoint) while also providing visibility into alarms, fault conditions, and selected internal variables. The result is a cleaner integration model: the building automation system can supervise comfort, energy usage, and service events without losing the ability for local users to operate the unit when needed.

Installation and configuration are intentionally simplified for field work. Setup is based on wiring the gateway to the AC indoor unit and applying the required DIP-SW configuration. No configuration software and no external power supply are required, which reduces installation time and minimizes the number of components in the panel. A consistent Modbus register mapping approach (used across multiple AC brands) helps shorten project engineering and speeds up replication across similar sites.

The gateway connects to Modbus RTU (RS-485) and supports multi-device networks: up to 63 devices can be connected to the same RS-485 line.
