IntesisBox INWMPUNI001I000 is a universal Wi-Fi gateway designed to integrate IR remote-controlled air conditioners with TCP/IP control systems. The device is compatible with a wide range of AC indoor units that use an IR receiver, making it an excellent option when there is no dedicated wired communication port and the unit is operated with a standard IR remote.
The goal of this integration is remote monitoring and control of air conditioning from your control panel, application, or supervisory system—such as a commercial SCADA platform or monitoring software capable of communicating over TCP/IP. Data exchange is based on simple ASCII messages, which makes it straightforward to implement on the integrator side (a driver within a home controller, Smart Hub, or IP-based automation system).
On one side, the gateway communicates with the indoor unit via infrared (IR) by sending commands, and on the other side it connects to the network using a Wi-Fi interface. Thanks to the built-in IR receiver, the device can also capture the actual AC status even when the user changes settings directly with the manufacturer’s remote. This is crucial in real projects: visualization and automation logic remain consistent regardless of whether control is done from the system or manually by the occupant.
